If you love France, great food, cooking and lots of laughs, you’ll love a BOIS BOURDET AGA WORKSHOP
Initially encouraged by our guests who enthused about our AGA-cooked meals, we decided to run AGA cookery workshops. Bois Bourdet is now an AGA France Accredited Cookery School and we are part of a small group of specialised and authorised AGA demonstrators. The aim of the workshops is to discover the tips, techniques and pleasures of cooking with an AGA - and to enjoy some of the many delicious local foods and the recipes which we have developed whilst catering for our guests at Bois Bourdet.
Whether you are new to AGA cooking, an experienced AGA enthusiast wishing to add a French flavour to your repertoire or just love good food and fine wine, an AGA cookery workshop at Bois Bourdet will not disappoint you! |

| Cooking with an AGA is effortless and produces absolutely superb results. Our approach to cooking with an AGA is both simple and unfussy, so whatever your previous skills or experience, you will discover new techniques and take away delicious recipes for recreating impressive dishes with a minimum of effort. |
| Our style of cooking is wholesome, uncomplicated and unpretentious. We show you how to prepare and cook with the AGA, embracing the very best of traditional French country cooking. You will also learn how to present your delicious dishes with a modern twist so that they look stunning on the plate. |
| We are passionate and enthusiastic about cooking with good quality ingredients. We use the very best seasonal produce possible, either from our own organic garden or from local markets and suppliers, as well as wonderful seafood and meat from the region. We welcome vegetarians and people with special dietary requirements and will cover these specific areas of cooking if requested. |
| We believe that cooking should be fun and we place great emphasis on finding enjoyment throughout all the stages of food preparation - from the garden to the table - with lots of laughs along the way! |
| The workshops take place in our beautiful, well-equipped farmhouse kitchen where you can soak up the rustic French charm of the house, enjoy homely warmth from the AGA and lovely rural views from the windows. |
| The cookery sessions are run with a mixture of instruction and demonstration, but are predominantly hands on. A maximum class size of six guests per session ensures individual attention and that everyone gets fully involved. |
| Our aim is to run workshops which are informal, relaxed, friendly, informative... and great fun! |
| We offer one-day taster workshops and 2-day or 3-day breaks. All courses cover the main principles of AGA cooking and the use of the Roasting, Baking, Simmering and Warming ovens. During the sessions, a variety of delicious starters, main courses, puddings, soups, cakes and breads are made. The dishes are then eaten during a relaxing lunch or a candlelit evening supper. |
| The cost of an AGA workshop includes accommodation in one of our luxury en suite bedrooms plus an evening meal with aperitif, wine & coffee on the night of arrival - a generous continental breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meal with aperitif, wine & coffee during the workshop - and breakfast on the day of departure. |
